What you can do

Dear Editor,

It’s so extremely funny how some people campaign to get into Parliament.

Take for example Matafeo Dan Aiafi, the ex-C.E.O of the Ministry of Education for the last six years.

A recent article printed in the Samoa Observer which Matafeo was talking about why he wants get into Parliament to improve the school and the education system etc.

The question is what was he doing as the C.E.O of education for the last six years? Matafeo is now campaigning that he will improve education etc. when elected as Member of Parliament. Ridiculous, don’t you think?

Another funny gentleman is Tuala Ponifasio who has declared running for the Gaegaemauga No. 1 Parliament seat.

He is also campaigning about education and the youth etc.

I’m sure both can do that without the Parliament seat.

Some people think that they can only help when sitting in Parliament.

Some advice gents: Before running for Parliament, serve before you run and not if you WIN.

If you guys really want to help, please during your spare time, visit your village and help the kids with their homework and share your big ideas with the village council etc.

Good luck, gentlemen!

Regards,

Baby G.L.
