The Tanumapua Farm welcomed some very special visitors on Wednesday.

Owner and businessman, Taimalie Charlie Westerlund, and his workers welcomed Prime Minister Tuilaepa Dr. Sailele Malielegaoi, and members of his Cabinet for a special visit.

Taimalie runs one of the biggest and most successful commercial farms in Samoa.

According to the Government, the Prime Minister’s visit was a “fact-finding mission by the Government leaders for a first class look and learn for Cabinet.”

The visit, they said, would “assist the Prime Minister and Cabinet in making appropriate decisions when it comes to issues pertaining to agriculture.”

The Tanumapua Farm is one of two commercial farms that has been given priority by the Government to develop a new variety of banana for the export market. More details in tomorrow's Sunday Samoan.
