Schuster family gathers

Family members of the late James Schuster gathered in Apia last week.

The five-day reunion ended yesterday with a family to’ona’i at the Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi building.  

Bubba Schuster told Samoa Observer that this is the second reunion since their last reunion in 1996. “James Schuster had nine children and now we have nine generations and it’s a blessing for us to reunite again this year. “Many of our relatives have attended from overseas and everyone is having a great time.

The reunion has includes lots of entertainment, sports activities and fun. “We had a golf tournament last Saturday and we ended today with a big to’ona’i.” “We’re hoping to meet back again here soon.  James Schuster arrived in Samoa in 1852.
