International partnership for Va’a

It has been a massive week for Samoa sport with the Launching of the Pacific Games logo for 2019 during the weekend.

It’s been great to see all the support from all the national and international federations.

Va'a is the last of the traditional sports left in the Games and the Samoa Outrigger Canoe Association (S.O.C.A.) has taken the lead by formalizing a technical partnership with the International Va'a Federation (I.V.F).

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U.) was held Saturday night and ensures Samoa receives the support needed to make these games the best ever.

Lara Collins from the I.V.F. and S.O.C.A. President Billy Peters exchanged the paper work during the signing at Home Cafe.

Also present was Maree Burnett President of the Oceania Canoe Kayak Federation, so stay tuned for more great things to come.
