PART V on pages 28 and 79th in last week’s edition we provided an account on Power of Prayers and Rosary Devotion and the Consecrate of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Part VI below, we unveil the architects of the fall of communism, a tribute to our Mother Mary, a tribute to St Pope JPII and the Vision of Hell. Today is the Feast of Corpus Christi. It is the Universal Catholic Church’s Liturgical Solemnity Celebrating the Reality of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ Son of God in the Eucharist. It emphasizes the joy of the Institution of the Eucharist by Christ Himself but ‘’Not a Symbol’’ It also called Corpus Domini. Happy Corpus Christi Samoa.
Architects behind the destruction of communism.
Pope Pius XII consecrated Russia in 1952. St Pope John Paul II consecrated the Soviet Union on March 25 1982. He consecrated the whole world on May 13, 1982 being the 65th Anniversary of the Apparition and he visited Fatima and thanked God and the Blessed Mother for having spared his life. We hear this saying so often “actions speak louder than words’’ It’s true and we believe it. But in the Fatima case we put in words rearrangement of the same idiom to say ‘’Words with Actions; a great force.’’ Prayers of faith [words] and in perseverance actions [travels and dialogue] of the three architects help brought down communism to its knees. The Iron Lady Margret Thatcher Prime Minister of Great Britain, US President Ronald Reagan and St Pope John Paul II were the three great leaders who executed fearless leadership styles and masterminded the collapse of communism. Not even the most optimistic watching world and observers of President’s Ronald Reagan’s 1987 Berlin speech calling on Soviet General Secretary Mikhail [Michael in English - his Catholic baptismal name] Gorbachev to “Tear down this wall” would have imagined that two years later the communist regimes of Eastern Europe would collapse like dominoes. By 1990, the former communist leaders were out of power, free elections were held and the world was saved from the tyranny of Soviet Union’s spread of communism.
Tribute to Our Mother Mary.
As Christians, we all believe that when we pray with faith, miracles and good things happen in our lives. Our world owe so much to our Mother - the Blessed Virgin Mary for her vigilance and wisdom - her warning before-hand via the three children at Fatima in 1917 and also her motherly intercessions at the time the world was on the verge of complete destruction. Thanks for her intercession. There is no question whatsoever; no doubt in the mind that our Mother Mary’s part had made possible the collapse of this high-tension war and communism error-fast spreading a halt. Had it not for her motherly intercession to her Son Jesus Christ, a heavenly intervention with the power of the Church Daily Masses and Rosary prayers combined, the attempts by the three leaders to influence the Soviet Union regime wouldn’t have been a success and we would never at any chance get it as we are now enjoying our country’s independence on this part of the globe from the spread of communism. Remember that after WWII there was again another war threat-a show of nations nuclear might - the Cold War but ended in 1991. Nuclear tests by French at Mururoa Atolls were a few miles away from Samoa a couple of years ago. And all these predicted wars ceased to happen because of the power of prayers. And we know from history as well, that despite this world’s unfaithfulness and disobedience to GOD, HE still cares and loves the world. THEREFORE we should give praise to God; Glory to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. AMEN. Thanks to our Mother Mary.
Tribute to St Pope John Paul II
Very little has been publicly reported about his great involvement but US Historian Paul Johnson in his article wrote, “With the power of prayers, President Ronald Reagan, Prime Minister Margret Thatcher and Pope John Paul II were the trio who destroyed Soviet communism and its evil empire. Each one of the three had its own way of approach; shared similar leadership style with the common goal to completely shut down and eradicate communism from the face of the earth.” Both Pope John Paul II and President Ronald Reagan were men of the same moment. They were both horrified by nuclear war, they both hated communism and the Soviet Union, they both had been shot but survived and they both forgave their assailants. Both grew up poor, with no connections, but ended up being two of the greatest men of the 20th century. Both had winning smiles and indomitable personalities. At his first remarks from the balcony of St. Peter’s, the pope made clear what he thought of the Soviets ‘’Be not afraid’’; he said and from that moment, Pope John Paul II was under world communist leaders surveillance.
On June 5, 1979 as he descended the stairs of the plane in Warsaw Poland, he kissed the ground and incited a spiritual earthquake. When US President Reagan heard it and when the media asked what he thought of the visit, Reagan told them “I have had a feeling, particularly in the Pope’s visit to Poland his homeland; the Catholic Church may turn out to be the Soviets’ Achilles ’ Heel ‘’meaning in English that the ‘’Catholic Church was Soviet’s ‘small but fatal weakness’’.‘’Reagan continued; This Polish Pope has a strong faith in prayers for heavenly intervention to shut down communism. His prayers always go together with his actions is the kind of man he is. I read about his history and he loves his country Poland taken over by Communism at his youth” And US President Reagan was absolutely right. That was the start of Pope John Paul II’s involvement with the collapse and tearing down of the Berlin Wall. He preached about the dignity God had given to each of us, especially through our Savior. In the Polish Parliament he addressed his countrymen and said with a clear loud voice “Fidelity to roots does not mean a mechanical copying of the patterns of the past. Fidelity to roots is always creative, ready to descend into the depths, open to new challenges.” Every Polish Parliamentarian knew him. They knew what he was talking about. This was followed up by many meetings with nearly every Head of State around the world; in particular Europe emphasizing them with the Power of Rosary regardless of their religious belief. The Pope pushed ahead with the Fatima message and Rosary as a weapon to destroy Communism according with some media reports. But at his weekly audience and mid-day Angelus, he also asked the faithful Catholics around the world to pray the Rosary daily for God’s intervention in order to defeat communism.
But sadly after the Pope’s visit to his homeland Poland, the Secretariat of the Communist Party Central Committee met to assess the impact of his pontificate. The Pope knew the Communist plans and that his life was under serious threat but he never backed down. He was updated by the intelligence from US and the Vatican about these things but he was never afraid to expose himself in public places. The Secretariat of the Communist Party Committee found out that this Pope was so strong in words and some of his actions would always follow. So they issued a directive to the KGB [Committee for State Security for the Soviet Union from 1954 -1991] “Use all possibilities available to the Soviet Union to prevent the new course of policies initiated by the Polish Pope; if necessary with additional measures beyond disinformation and discreditation.” In other words, an ‘’Assassination Order’’ was issued but the world knew it failed in 1981 at St Peter’s Square on the eve of the 64th Anniversary of the Fatima Apparition in May 13th 1917. What a miracle. A hired Turkish gunman tried to kill him but failed. St Paul the Apostle said ‘If God is with us who would dare fight against us’ Pope John Paul II credited Our Lady of Fatima with saving his life. He specifically requested to meet with his assassin in prison and was granted. John Paul II donated the bullet to Fatima, and it was inserted into the crown adorning a statue of Mary there. He was canonized Saint Pope John Paul II the Great; by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. Thank to St Pope JPII. Please pray for the Church.
Hell exists as oppose to universalism
One very interesting thing that the children revealed to us is the vision of HELL they saw and how Our Lady unveiled it. They said, Our Mother Mary opened her hands and rays of light from them seemed to penetrate the earth so that they saw a terrifying vision of Hell; full of demons and lost souls amidst indescribable horrors. And with a ‘’sad’’ expression on her face, the Blessed Mother said to them kindly ‘’you have seen HELL where the souls of poor sinners go’’, our Lady said. ‘’To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.’’ This vision is reminding us that ‘’HELL’’ exists as oppose to universalism. Universalism is believing that most, if not all people are going to be saved in the end or if one dies despite being sinful or dirt of soul is yet to be cleansed she or he will still go straight and enjoy heaven. This is contrary to our Lord’s own words wherein he sadly attests that “many” are on the road that leads to destruction and “few” are on the narrow and difficult road that leads to salvation. Mat 7:14 says ‘’How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few’’. Luke 13:23-30 where our Lord was teaching about the narrow door, salvation and rejection. [Read it yourself] Jesus always taught in parables and other warnings also come from our Lord in this regard and the straight-forward teaching of the Lord makes it clear that we must soberly accept that many, and not a few are going to be lost unless we, by God’s grace urgently summon them to Christ and to authentic discipleship. ‘’This is why I speak to them in parables because they look but do not see, they hear but do not listen and understand’’ Jesus once said. We again would give thanks to our Mother Mary for keeping us sinners reminded that we have to choose wisely between Heaven and Hell. Which way you’ll choose?
Our Lady of Fatima; pray for us sinners.
