The day has arrived for the much-anticipated opening of the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa’s multi-million-tala Jubilee Church.

At Malua today, hundreds of church members and guests are expected to congregate there for the opening festivities.

The formalities begin early morning with traditional presentation of gifts referred to as ta’alolo.  There will then be the official prayer service to open the facility, a feast and more gift exchanges to follow.

The opening is one of the main items on the agenda during the church’s annual conference at Malua.

The build meetings started on Tuesday with the Women’s Conference.

Yesterday, it was revealed that the Tautua o Puapuaga o Tagata (T.P.T) Committee is donating $400,000 as a gift to the Jubillee Church.

The decision was finalised during the discussion of the Women’s Annual Financial Report (2016/2017).

The church’s annual conference continues.
