The Sunday School and Youth of the Methodist Church at Vaitele-Uta held its pageant with heaps of entertainment on Saturday.

Reverend Opeta Ioapo told the Samoa Observer that the programme was all about bringing children and youth together during the long Easter Holiday.

“Everyone is really enjoying it and I think this is something that we are all been looking forward to,” he said.

“The main reason of this pageant is not about winning but letting these young ones understand the true meaning of staying up together with unity, peace and harmony.

The children and youth members were divided into two groups; Genesis and Acts.

“Each group was given the opportunity to select their three taupou and three manaia,” he said.

“Not only that, but they also performed shows with a variety of items including kits and dances in line with Easter.

“We are looking forward to continue this in the future to develop our young ones in the body, mind and the soul.”

Elisapeta Toleafoa won the Tausala while Eteuati Eteuati, the Manaia competition.
