Rage and drugs in Samoa
Re: Beautiful from afar, sickening at core
These are very sad incidents. The first speaks of uncontrolled rage and of a person not in their right mind. Who knows, if Samoa had better counseling and mental health services, perhaps this horrid incident could have been avoided.
The second speaks of Samoa’s failed drug policies, governments continuing prosecution of the failed, so called war on drugs; where the Samoan government pins its hopes on outdated attitudes and methods of control that are proven globally not to work.
If Samoa had legalised cannabis then the victim would likely be alive today, and a revenue stream would have been removed from criminal gangs.
