With the end of the year fast approaching us, we need to pause with humble hearts and celebrate a great year of hard work.

That’s why Faletua and Tausi of Afega gathered at Manumea last Saturday.

It was to celebrate and thank God for His guidance throughout the year.

Faletua and Tausi reprenstitive, Iupita Fata told Samoa Observer that it’s the second year that they’ve celebrated with style the farewell of the old year and to cheer in the new year.

“This is a very special gathering for us. It’s to remember with thankful hearts all the hard work that we went through in the past eleven months. Finally, we have made it the end of the year,” Iupita said.

“As you can see today, we had a big feast here at Manamea with all the laughs and fun and everyone enjoying themselves.

“During the year we usually have our inspections of each and every family of us and it’s all about improving things in the home.

“We also have our inspections of our own houses, mats, dishes, cooking utensils and household items and as I’ve mentioned earlier, this is what mothers are for.

“And that’s what mothers of Afega do every year. So today, it’s the end of the year celebration for everyone to get away from home and enjoy themselves as we are doing today.

She acknowledged the support of the all the mothers.

“Our special thanks to Muliagatele Jean Malifa for always being behind us all the time and trying  to push everyone together to do good works to develop our families.

“We have made it because of her great contributions to our faletua and tausi. Fa’afetai tele lava Muliaga!

“No matter what, she’s our right hand in everything and we want to thank her again for all the support.

“May God continue to bless us and all the last works of this year and let’s welcome 2018 with thankful hearts and open arms to God.”
