Two new cases of H.I.V. detected

Samoa needs to hold free sex education programmes on safe sex and make condoms available for free so people can protect themselves. We can’t stop people from doing what they are doing but we can educate people on making the right choices so they can protect themselves.

I was in the Cook Islands once and was surprised to find free condoms available in a public toilet. It was also there I met a very brave Samoan woman a victim of aids whose husband and son also died from aids she was raising awareness about aids.

I thought she was brave to speak boldly about aids. It’s no joke and while some might laugh at this, I thought let’s be wise especially when tourism is the main source of income for our small island states with it comes other problems.

Let’s be wise and educate our people to play safe. It’s ok to talk about safe sex. Why not have condoms available for the public. Manuia.
