The body of a 33-year-old female from Safata has been released to her family for her final service.
The police and the coroners are satisfied that the cause of death was suicide.
According to the police media officer, Su’a Lemamea Tiumalu, the deceased attempted suicide on the 29th September and later died at the hospital on the 1st October 2016.
Su’a said the incident had been reported to the Lotofaga Safata Police Post for investigation on the 29th September.
It was confirmed that there had earlier been a disagreement between the deceased and another person.
“There was no post mortem requested as the doctor was satisfied that the cause of death was suicide,” said Su’a.
