It’s called double dipping

Dear Editor,

Re: You can’t tax the alofa 

Double dipping I would say. 

I get paid after tax and I donate my contribution to my faifeau as alofa. 

Why should they have to pay tax again? 

After all they are not paid by the church. Totally agree with your argument. 

The government should target all denominations to donate as a levy or wholesale tax. After all some of them have indirectly earn income from their infrastructure investment around the country.
