Re: Avoidance vs Evasion

What happens when a faifeau does not have any fortnightly peleti’s but relies on monies received from congregation members when he goes on his normal weekly asiasiga’s? Presumably the asiasiga monies come under the ‘other things’ category, according to the Minister.

In this particular case, the faifeau doesn’t have to declare any taxable income because he doesn’t have any.

Is this then a case of tax avoidance or tax evasion?

My friends at the makeki believe this case to be one of tax avoidance according to the PM’s definition of these terms.
