It is every parent’s dream for their children to succeed in life.

To make that happen, sacrifices are required to raise them right, educate them to give them a good start.

That’s the opinion of Moana Sii, aged 36 from Lepa, Aleipata.

She prioritises her six children.

No one of her family works. Her and her husband depend on their plantation for a living.

“We both work on our plantation because this is how we earn our money from selling it in our village because today’s life is all about money,” she told the Village Voice.

“Our priority is our kids. Whatever we earn with our hands is for my kids.

We want them to have the best life for future.”

Moana says life is a struggle. But that’s part of the fun.

“We have food every day but we only need a water tank for my family.

“That’s the only problem in my family. If we can get a water tank, we can save money.

“We know the importance of water in our lives because we cannot live without water.”

At the moment, Moana said he husband is also looking for a job.

In the meantime, they both work hard.

“This is my job every day,” she said, I drop off and pick up my kids from school.

It’s hard but one day we will get better.”
