Eight teams have confirmed their quarterfinal spot at this year’s Vailima Pure Marist International Sevens tournament after an exciting display of Rugby 7s yesterday.

Twenty-two teams played their hearts out, but sadly only eight teams can proceed to the Cup playoffs today.

The Apia Concrete Products Sport’s Complex Stadium in Lotopa was filled with excitement and joy as spectators cheered for their own teams.

Marist Auckland and Tui Samoa Fasito’o, who topped their teams in their pool matches undefeated, will meet for the first Cup quarterfinal clash today.

The second Cup quarterfinal game will see B.B.E. Vaiala Ulalei side take on the S.C.O.P.A. team.

Tepatasi team will play Vailele for the third Cup quarterfinal clash. Tepatasi topped Pool 3 after a draw against Moata’a yesterday and a 50 over win point margin against Marist Legends.

And tournament hosts Marist Saint Joseph’s will take on Apia Maroon side for the last Cup quarterfinal clash this afternoon.

On the Bowl quarterfinal schedule, New South Wales Samoa play against Vaimoso for the first Bowl quarterfinal, while Letava Bulldogs will meet Marist Barbarians for the second Bowl quarterfinal clash.

Moata’a will play Salelologa team for the third Bowl quarterfinal clash while Sa’anapu and Faleula will vie for the last Bowl quarterfinal clash.

The quarterfinals today will kick-off with the Bowl quarterfinal clashes at 10:20am, and the Cup quarterfinal clash begins at 11:40am.

General Admission for the field is $2 and $10 for the center stand.
