Police gets helping hand
The Australian Federal Police (A.F.P.) has donated more bicycles and other accessories to help with the community service work by the Ministry of Police in Samoa.
The Commander of A.F.P, Peter Timson, presented six bicycles, 12 video cameras, spare parts, tools for the bikes, safety glasses and other accessories.
The donation cost more than $40,000.
Mr. Timson said the gifts are a way to strengthen the relationship between Samoa and the Australian government.
Police Commissioner, Fuiavailili Egon Keil, thanked Australia and acknowledged that it is not the first time A.F.P. has assisted Samoa.
