Seventeen-year-old, Lineta Moelagi Eliuta, is the Dux of A’ana No. 2 College this year.

The young bright student wants to become a teacher.

“Serving the country in teaching the young ones in the future is a way of giving back to Samoa, my family and the community,” she said.

“I always told my mother about this dream years ago...she said that I have to push through in education and challenges to be able to achieve it.”

Lineta’s parents are Saipisa and Moelagi Eliuta from the village of Lepuia’i Manono.

“I’m the eldest of five siblings and I love being around them, playing and helping my family.

“Many thanks to all the teachers at A’ano No. 2 College for always around. They always tell us to follow our hearts and never give up on our dreams.

“They also motivated us to do our best all the time no matter what the situation is and keep striving for more, never settle for less.

Lineta topped English, Maths, Visual Art, Economics and Accounting.
