The Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture (M.E.S.C), Dr. Karoline Afamasaga-Fuata’i was welcomed by the village of Fasito’o-tai as the new holder of the Afamasaga chiefly title last week.

The bestowal of the Afamasaga title demonstrates the commitment of Dr. Afamasaga-Fuata’i to continue family traditions through serving the family, village and church with love and respect.

Prior to the traditional formalities, the titleholder was blessed by Reverend Eric Mulitalo of the Congregation Christian Church of Fasito’o-tai.

The event was an exciting one for members of the extended family as they celebrate the great achievements and extensive service by Dr Karoline not only in their family but also through serving the Government of Samoa.

Members of the Afamasaga family were proud to have the title Afamasaga bestowed upon Dr Karoline Afamasaga-Fuata’i.

During the blessing, the titleholder was encouraged to prioritise their family, especially the church, and most important, to use her skills and ability to lead as a good leader particularly as she is the current Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture and to always put God first in all that she does.
