3 buildings involved in jet crash, 2 damaged
Authorities say three buildings were involved in the fatal crash of a jet near a small New Jersey airport, though only two sustained major damage.
The crash Monday afternoon near Teterboro Airport killed both crew members. No one else was on the Learjet, which was coming from Philadelphia.
Police in Carlstadt say two of the buildings sustained fire damage mostly to their exteriors. The third structure, the town's public works building, didn't sustain any fire damage, but wreckage was strewn across the building's parking lot.
Authorities say 13 cars in the parking lots of the three buildings were damaged.
No injuries were reported on the ground. The National Transportation Safety Board will inspect the crash scene Tuesday.
