Digicel is offering one lucky customer a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness boxing history in the making.

This May, W.B.O. Heavyweight Champion, Lupesoliai Joseph Parker will defend his title against Hughie Fury, in a rumble you won’t want to miss.

Digicel will host a draw for one lucky winner to receive:

• 2 VIP tickets ringside

• Return Airfare and accommodation

• NZ $500 spending money

To enter, Digicel pre-paid customers need only purchase any data bundle to go in the draw.

Chief Executive Officer of Digicel Samoa, Milos Surla, shared the exciting news at the press conference at Plantation Boxing Gym in Alamagoto.

“We have extended Joseph Parker’s sponsorship until 2018 and we are celebrating the occasion.

We are extremely proud to announce that we have prolonged this sponsorship to 2018.

To celebrate the sponsorship, we will give V.I.P. treatment for the one lucky winner who can take a friend with him to witness historic match in Auckland New Zealand where he will fight in the first defence match to protect his title.”

Digicel has also partnered with TV3, who broadcast the historic fight between Parker and Ruiz for free for all of Samoa.

TV 3’s General Manager, Verona Parker shared, “TV 3, since its existence has always been considered locally as the boxing channel.

From the time of David Tua and all the famous Samoan boxers, TV3 has always attempted to highlight their achievements.

Thankfully, we will continue that journey with La’auli Joseph Parker as Digicel’s official ambassador.

“On behalf of our managing director, Joe Keil, we are grateful once more for Digicel’s support and we will continue on as La’auli continues to win each fight.”

“Whether they win or lose, it’s great to see the business community come together to support the sportspeople of Samoa so that we can empower the young people.
