Meet Jessie and Jordan Haylock.

Hailing from Christchurch, New Zealand, the couple, who are both teachers, are celebrating their honeymoon in Samoa.

The lovebirds teach in different schools back at home and it was this passion of theirs that united them.

Almost three years of courtship, Jordan finally popped the question and this led them to Samoa’s borders.

“We chose to come to Samoa to celebrate our honeymoon because it is relaxing and not too far away from New Zealand,” Jordan said.

“We have friends who are from New Zealand and they told us it was a nice place so we decided to come here. We do not know much about Samoans, just Jordan he teaches some Samoan students.”

The couple are staying at the Seabreeze Resort Samoa and they have only been here three days.

Jessie said they enjoyed their stay so far and it was the place to have a break.

“It is more relaxed in Samoa and they don’t go by time. There is also not much to do and it is a good place to chill out.”

The couple are here for 10 days and they look forward to exploring what Samoa has to offer.

“We have already got our things sorted for our trip to Savaii, so we’ll probably hire a car and hopefully go swim with turtles. We want to go swimming, we do love the water. Nice and refreshing. The water is warmer and clearer,” she added.

The climax so far for the couple is experiencing the nature of the Samoan people.

“The highlight of our trip would be the people that we meet. They are very friendly and so nice to us. They smile and greet us,” said Jessie.

They also have a dream for their family.

“We just want four kids, two girls and two boys.”
