Youth Co:Lab participants acknowledged

PR - In early June 2018, the first Youth Co:Lab Workshop for the Pacific was held in Samoa.  It is a UNDP initiative developed to be their multi-dimensional and multi-level response that addresses the challenges young people, including the most marginalized, face today in the Asia and Pacific region.  

This particular program is an opportunity to establish a network of empowered youth to accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship.  Yesterday, 13 of the 20 young Samoans who have the passion for social innovation and entrepreneurship were acknowledged in a brief ceremony where they received their Certificates of Completion.  

Recipients are: 

Anthony Pereira, Christopher Tafili-Reid, Etuale Scanlan, Filitino Iosefa , Grant Percival Jr., Justin Raymond Parker, Mose Mose, Petronilla Molio’o Mata’eliga, Rosa Tapusoa, Seutatia Va’ai , Taimalelagi Kaisarina Salesa, Therese River, Tutasi Meredith, Beatrice Ott, Celeste Faletaulupe Solofa, Esmeralda Lo Tam, Leivila Okesene, Marcus Maota Sio, Olisana Mariner and Tailani Salanoa.

To ensure the continuation of this initiative, the Samoa Chamber of Commerce and UNDP signed another agreement at the ceremony to facilitate the continuation of the mentoring services for the Youth Co:Lab Samoa.
