One Thousand Ropes premiering in Samoa

The star studded cast of Samoan Kiwi Film, One Thousand Ropes are coming to Samoa.  

Tomorrow, celebrities such as Frankie Adams, Beulah Koale and more 

will be on island for the premiere of the movie at Apollo Cinemas.    

Joining the cast will be Samoa’ very own acclaimed director and writer, Tusi Tamasese. 

The film made its world premiere at the  67th Berlin International Film Festival  in the prestigious panorama section.  

One Thousand Ropes follows a father reconnecting with his estranged daughter, struggling to balance his desire to form a relationship with his want to get revenge against the man who beat her. 

The trailer teases a dark and personal drama, with intense dialogue and dream sequences.

It is a bilingual movie, with both English and Samoan dialogue.

Blueskin Films, Transmission Films and the New Zealand High Commission along with Apollo Cinema management  have brought the cast and film to Samoa.
