Manu Samoa in good spirits as they prepare for Romania

A tad sad about their narrow loss to Scotland on Sunday morning (Samoan time) the Manu Samoa is ready to turn a new leaf for Romania this week.

The team captained by Chris Vui has safely arrived in Romania with the Samoa Rugby Union reporting that they are in good spirits as they hunt for their first victory of their Northern Hemisphere tour.

“All players are injury free and are all available for selection for the game against Romania this Saturday 18th November 2017,” a statement fro the Union says. 

“The team arrived in Romania this morning and will resume training in the afternoon at 2:30pm (UK time). The team is residing at the Rin Grand Hotel in Bucarest.

“The management and team are all well and in good spirit heading towards the game this Saturday.

“Manu Samoa sends their regards to the people of Samoa and a big faafetai for the prayers and messages of support and encouragement as the team are on tour in UK.”

The team was unlucky against Scotland in what could have been a very famous victory against all the odds.

“Manu Samoa prepared well for the game against Scotland and approached it with confidence that we would win. Despite the result, the team displayed commitment, determination, attitude and spirit that wins games for Samoa.”
