White Sunday might be next month but FEXCO (Samoa) and Western Union have launched their Talofa White Sunday Promotion.

The promotion, designed to reward their customers, was launched at the beginning of the week.

“It’s just a small gesture of giving back to our dear customers for their loyalty and trusting Western Union with hard earned monies,” Deputy General Manager, Mulipola Anarosa Molio’o said.

“All customers sending and, or receiving monies through Western Union Money Transfer both International and Domestic Transfers will be eligible for the draw.

“This year is no different with the mega prizes up for its usual Super Draw but with a special touch of unity and love.”

“These attributes are some of the essential ingredients needed in the lives of our children and are well represented, symbolized and understood by one word ‘Talofa’.

The promotion was launched and opened to customers on Monday and it will run until 8 October.”

“This is also an appeal to potential customers to promote and encourage our people to say - Talofa.”

“The Drawn Date will be on the 13th October with great prizes to win; 1st Prize - $3000, 2nd Prize - $500, 3rd Prize - $300 and 3 x prizes of $200 each.”

“Customers must place their receipt with name and phone number in the Western Union boxes at any Western Union location in Upolu and Savai’i.”

Mulipola said that choosing the word ‘Talofa’ is to promote and encourage people to say Talofa.

“I was in Fiji for the whole week and was amazed by how the Fijian use their Bula to welcome everywhere in Fiji...from Nadi airport to taxi driver, shopping centre, tourists in hotel and all local Fijian.”

“So the talofa word is our identity and it is the word to express greetings, appreciation, congratulations and many more.

“The same push that I want to see in Samoa pushing our Talofa word and I know that this is the basis of tourism.”

Western Union Money Transfer is the leading money transfer service provider in the world and Samoa today.

“With Western Union in more than 200 countries in the world, White Sunday will be just a Western Union away. We will unite them even from a far with their children.”

“This global capacity and the magic of connecting families and friends – is a comforting relief despite living oceans apart.”
