Re: Prime Minister position to be scrutinized

The article says- “The sensitivity around the selection of the Head of State has led to discussions on whether the law should be amended to require a limit of two terms or ten years for the Head of State position” 

I think setting a two 5 year term max for the Head of State position is a must and should be welcomed as fair.

But my question “What about the Prime Minister’s position?” The current Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi has been in power for far too long -’e tuu fau pea’ until he dies or ‘leaga le ulu etc’ tulou?

I think if the H.O.S. position is under scrutiny to become law, then likewise the Prime Minister’s  position should be under scrutiny at the same time and become a law too. It is not fair and healthy for Tuilaepa to continue after this term as if he owns the Prime Minister position, Samoa and the people in his power glorious that is seen with his bossy attitude to everything and every person by and large.

Including the Prime Minister position in a two 5 year terms maximum is fair and a must to all future Prime Ministers excluding Tuilaepa who should end his term by the end of the current nofoaiga.
