Minister to open Forum

The Ministry of Women Community and Social Development (M.W.C.S.D.) will be hosting its first Community Development Sector Annual Review Forum, starting today. 

The forum will be held at the T.A.T.T.E. building, and the Minister for Women, Community and Social Development, Faimalo Kika Stowers, will be the keynote speaker. 

The forum will be an opportunity to review the work that the Community Development Sector (C.D.S.)and its stakeholder partners have been doing in this area and to reflect on its achievements and challenges to better inform the C.D.S’s planning and programme implementation in line with Sector priorities to achieve its outcomes for way forward.

The forum will be attended by the Parliamentarians, Community Development Sector partners, Government Ministries and Agencies, NGO’s, Community Based Oganisations, District Development Committees and private sector working in this area. 

The forum is funded by the M.W.C.S.D. with the support of development partners D.F.A.T. Australia and U.N.F.P.A.

The theme for the forum is “Communities to lead inclusive development”.
