Yazaki promotes healthy living

Yazaki EDS Samoa Ltd joined the national commemoration of the National Health Week on Friday by having a sports day at the Marist Brothers rugby field, Lotopa.

General Manager Funefeai Oliva Vaai he said this the sixth year the company has joined the celebration.

 “It’s a chance to get out of the office and from all the work and have fun and play sports and enjoy each other’s company,” he said.

“The first time we did it everyone loved and supported the idea so that is why we decided to have this event annually.”

Funefeai this is the company’s way of acknowledging the hard work of their employees.

“We know it’s not much but it’s the thought that counts and we want to let our employees know that we appreciated all the hard work that they give every day,” he said.

 “The reason why we have it this time of the year it’s because towards the end of the year we are preparing for the holidays and especially we have two weeks break around that time so we have a lot of work that needs to be done.”

“We have to make sure we have enough time to get everything done before we break for the season but this time is okay for everyone.”

“This is also aligning with the programme by the health sector of the important of living healthy.”

“As I believe this week is Health Week and today is also the public service sports day so here at Yazaki we are also commemorating this week and it’s important of healthy living and healthy eating.”

The company was divided into four groups Red, Blue, Yellow and Green for the fun activities.
