ANZ has unveiled its very first Samoan Fashion A.T.M's in Apia featuring the signature print of renowned Samoan fashion label, MENA.

“We’re excited about showcasing a MENA print on our main A.T.M's in Apia as an example of the great creative talent in Samoa and also to highlight a successful local entrepreneur’s story,” ANZ Samoa Country Head, Bernie Poort, said.

Established in 2002 MENA dramatically altered the fashion landscape in Samoa where they are a household name.

In 2006, the label expanded to New Zealand.

Today MENA has forged ahead selling their Pacific-inspired range throughout the region.

“It’s fantastic to partner one of Samoa’s leading companies to showcase our work,” MENA Director, Jackie Loheni, said. “We have had a long relationship with ANZ and they have always been right behind our business.”

Mr. Poort added that ANZ would continue to support local talent and business in Samoa.

“ANZ has been in Samoa since 1990 and in the Pacific for more than 136 years. We’ve been here through thick and thin and committed to our customers, our people and communities here.”

Mr. Poort took the opportunity to remind customers about the importance of safeguarding their banking, particularly as they increasingly transact using electronic banking channels, such as A.T.M's and E.F.T.P.O.S, and are also shopping more online.

“Please always keep your PINs confidential, change PINs regularly, never lend your cards to friends or family and make sure online purchases are only via reputable websites,” Mr Poort said, adding that customers should contact ANZ straight away if they notice any unusual transactions on their account.
