Samoa needs future generations to be well informed

Dear Editor,

Re: May we never forget the Mau movement

The Spirit of the Mau Movement which gave our country and people independence and freedom have been ignored by current leaders and H.R.P.P because of their penchant to indulge in dishonest behavior eg, OPC Report 2010.

Our forefathers fought and won against foreign invading forces with superior weapons but the current government and H.R.P.P are prepared and willing to bow to international financial institutions demands to steal our customary lands from the people.

It’s not even a threat from another sovereign country but they’re willing to sellout because of “money”

Our forefathers must be turning in their graves because of the lack of “manhood” in the current leaders of Samoa.

It’s less than 60 years since our forefathers freed us from bondage but H.R.P.P and it’s current leadership have already exercised their willingness to sell the country to the world again.

I’m glad that the children of Samoa living overseas are not lost in the maze of modernity and the many distractions we can find in outside communities.

Wishing your niece Miracle good luck because the future of Samoa depends on a well-informed future generation.
