The Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Lopaoo Natanielu Mu’a, is the winner of the Taro King Mother’s Day promotion.

The promotion started in February and every customer who purchased a pig or sold a pig to Taro King, they go into the draw to win a bike.

The bike was sold at an affordable price by Le Well Company to Taro King. The event was held at the Taro King headquarters yesterday.

Present to draw the lucky winner was President of Samoa Stake Paramore and assisting was Vaaaoao Alofipo.

Tickets were placed in a wooden box but only four tickets were picked.

“Every time a customer came in with their pig or want a pig, they had to write their name behind the tickets together with their phone numbers to go into the draw to win the bike,” owner of Taro King, Daniel Meredith said.

“There will be four tickets that will be drawn. The first ticket that will be drawn is our winner. If the winner has lost the ticket or does not show up, we would give the winner a week.”

“The second number that will be drawn will also receives a prize. One week will be given to the winner to come and pick up the bike, if they miss out then it will be given to the second winner.”

“And there would be four days that will be given to the second winner to come and take the bike. Whatever that might happen and reasons that would cause the second winner to miss out on this opportunity, then it will be given to the third winner.”

“The third winner would have three days to come and take the bike and the same process goes for the fourth winner,” Mr. Meredith said.

He explained: “We want everything to be clear and that the public would understand there are two kinds of people who are qualified to get into the draw to win the bicycle, people who come in and sell their pig and those that come here to buy pigs that have already been cooked.”

Mr. Meredith also acknowledged all their customers and people who supported Taro King through the promotion.

“I would like to thank our buyers because this system that we have goes both ways, we buy and sell pig at the same time. It would be of no good use if weren’t for the people that comes in to sell their pigs to us and also for people who buy the pigs from us.”

“I would also thank the Le Well Company for the bike. They gave us a discount and their help to us.”
