If you are looking for a way to expose your scrumptious, tasty and original recipe, then look no further. Origin Energy has partnered up with the Samoa Observer Newspaper to create a Recipe page for all you talented chefs – and wannabe chefs out there.

“Create your own Recipe” is an initiative to discover the hidden talents of local chefs.

Manager for Sales and Marketing of Origin Energy, Saunoamaalii Finafinau Sione, sees this as an opportunity to encourage the development of God-given gifts.

“Our focus will be based mainly on healthy eating and cooking healthy food for our people,” he said.

“Here at Origin Energy, we import gas that is environmentally friendly and healthy for our people, therefore, we are also encouraging healthy eating.”

Saunoa said the main reason why they agreed to the idea is because gas is associated with gastronomy and they believe there are a lot of talented chefs out there who are yet to be found.

“We need to give our local chefs the opportunity to show their talents and ‘create your own recipe’ might be a great chance for them to be exposed.”

This will be the first time a recipe page will be published in the Samoa Observer Newspaper.

Sales and Marketing Manager of the Samoa Observer Newspaper, Hellen Papali’i sees this as a way to promote healthy eating.

“This is a great opportunity to bring in the original recipes of our local cooks and for them to showcase their masterpiece.”

The ‘Create your own Recipe’ Page will be published in the Weekend Observer every week for the next three months.

All the recipes which will be brought in will be shown on the paper on Saturday of every week. Winners will be announced at the end of each month and will be awarded with prizes.

There will be judges to evaluate the originality of your recipes and will decide the winners for each month. Prizes will be provided by the Origin Energy for the lucky winners.

So here is your chance to bring in your best, inventive recipe and you might be one of our lucky winners. Bring in the hard copies of your original recipes in an envelope, with your name and contact details and submit it to our main office at Vaitele or our office in town, beside Apollo Cinemas.
