The Electric Power Corporation (E.P.C.) has appealed to licensed electricians to renew their annual license fees to avoid paying a penalty fee.

The Government-owned electricity generator and supplier made the appeal in a recent post on their Facebook page.

The deadline for the payment of all fees falls on January 31, 2019. License Category A, which is the unrestricted license, will cost $300. The license for Category B, which covers all single phase and 3 phase to 60A/phase work, cost $200 while Category C — which covers single phase up to 30A work — will cost electricians $100.

“Renewal of your license as per following costs and license categories set out below must be paid before the 31st January 2019.

“Please note it is your responsibility to ensure renewal of your license before the due date to avoid imposition of late fee,” the corporation stated in the Facebook post.

The appeal by the state-owned entity to licensed electricians comes on the back of the Government’s commissioning of a 600 kilowatt Tafitoala- Fausaga new hydro power plant in Safata District.
