The Samoan community in Sydney is still buzzing a week after Punialavaa and soccer legend Tim Cahill were presented with Role Model Awards during the 10th Anniversary of LJU Media and the Samoan Sports Star Show FM89.3.

This was Sydney Samoans biggest event of 2018 with more than 600 attendees and many who watched from outside of the St. Stephens Hall in Plumpton.

Punialavaa Founder, Reverend Lale Peteru, blessed the celebration with an opening prayer.

The new Consular General of Samoa in Sydney, Auseugaefa Vaasatia Poloma Komiti, delivered the keynote address and proposed a toast for the Radio’s milestone before celebrations swung into action in an incredible night.

MC and Host of FM89.3 Show and veteran broadcaster journalist, Leilua Jerry Uesele, had the crowd pumping and swaying to the music by Legends Band and popular Mix master DJ Tikelz in a balanced crowd of young and old Punialavaa Fans in a frenzy.

As one witness stated the sound of the crowd from start till end was deafening especially during the performance of the popular smash hit ‘’A na le Seanoa’’ which churned up the crowd into a Michael Jackson (R.I.P) effect.
