The Samoa National Basketball Association has garnered a lot of publicity as of late.

As the women’s basketball team climbs to the top at the FIBA U18 Oceania Tournament, many are noticing the progress basketball has made in such a short time.

So much so that the Samoa Gambling Authority has recognised the Samoa National Basketball Association and has generously donated $5,000 to the Association.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Samoa Gambling Control Authority, Tuala Siaki Tuala, presented the chequeto S.N.B.A representative, Lafoga Paia.

Mr. Paia accepted the check with utmost gratitude and thanked the Samoa Gambling Authority for its fervent support of the development of sports, especially basketball.

The amount of progress Basketball has made since the last Oceania tournament is definitely impressive.  The winning performances are an accumulation of hard work and continually developing the game here to produce quality athletes.

The donation could not come at a better time.  For there are big plans in store for S.N.B.A as they continue to develop the sport in Samoa and deliver winning performances.
