P.M. is correct to blame parents

Dear Editor,

I don’t often agree with the Prime Minister, but he is correct in blaming the parents for the number of street vendors out at night.

The parents are at fault here. The parents role is like none other, they are the teachers, they are the shepherds, they are the nurses, and doctors, they are the police that provide protection, they are the provider for their children to feed and nurture, not the other way around.

These are all part of your first calling to be parents within your own family.

The parents first error was thinking that the government developments will provide them money. No it doesn’t work that way, government developments provide you parents and the population with more to be desired and more to be bought, but not money.

That is what you yourself has to find in order to belong and be part of government’s development. Developments are for businesses, not for the common folks like you and me or the whole of the population that isn’t a government officials.

Second error was to give in and obey the government in what to do with your children. No one raised a voice against the long hours that children will have to spend in schools, and no time to spend with families where families must bond with their children over families obligations and with parents/children solemn time usually at evening prayers where the father will exhorts and encourages their children or even discipline for something happened during that day.

Solomon and apostles have given you recipes for success in raising children but you had to listen to the government that God did not give them the authority over your children.

So what the PM is saying here is correct, this one is on you parents.
