The Samoa Chamber of Commerce hosted a Business Planning training last week.

The course was specifically designed to highlight the important role of business planning by focusing on developing and enhancing business plans and utilising examples of good and best business planning practises that aid business growth.

The training was delivered by Susan Piket of Barbican Training Centre Limited from New Zealand.

Thirteen representatives from various businesses and organizations within the private sector took part.

There was positive feedback from participants who were made more aware of how to deal with business risk awareness.

James Tavana, KC Pro SALES Executive of TradePac Marketing said: “Learning about the four key ways to deal with risk has been very helpful and will be very useful.”

Inalani’s Manager, Leilani Brighouse, found the workshop very informative and feels that trainings like this one are a great catalyst for business growth.

Chamber C.E.O Lemauga Hobart Vaai encouraged the participants to utilise and activate the knowledge gained.

The training was held in collobration with the Samoa In-country Training Programme of the Oloamanu Centre for Professional Development and Continuing Education of the N.U.S.

“The Samoa Chamber of Commerce would like to acknowledge our development partners, NZ MFAT and AUS DFAT, through the Samoa Education Sector Plan budget support to the NUS, as well as the SICTP Manager, So’oalo Sydney Faasau and his team for making this training possible.”
