Doesn’t the govt. have an obligation to help?

Re: Govt. is not broke

“Minister Sili was also asked about Samoa’s foreign debt, and whether it is true it has reached the $2billion tala mark. The Minister would not confirm or deny the figure.”

“But he said: “Our foreign debt is now about 52-53 percent of our G.D.P. I think we need to make a point that historically our public debt as the percentage of our G.D.P is much lower than that, maybe 30 per cent.”

Is our national debts true amount cannot be uttered by any human being? Why use percentages and words such as maybe to keep the true amount of our debt hidden?

“Sili said nobody could plan when natural disasters strike.”

No one knows when natural disasters strike, but you can plan for it by having a disaster recovery fund set aside.

“The Minister of Finance, Sili Epa Tuioti, has set the record straight in response to claims that the government is “broke.”

Why now? Is it because the government has given money to one athlete after ignoring another?

If the government isn’t broke, why there were and are no responses to the suffering population.

When the PM manipulated the country by encouraging them to have more babies, doesn’t the government have any obligation to helping those families?
