Food festival at H.R.P.P camp
There has been no shortage of food, gifts, fine mats and money down at the Human Rights Protection Party (H.R.P.P) camp.
Throughout the week, villages, family members of members of the Party who have secured seats in Parliament have been taking asiga to the party as part of tradition.
These include cooked pigs, a variety of food items, corned beef and more.
When the Weekend Observer was there, it was Luatuanu’u and Soaluafata’s turn.
They visited with gifts to show their appreciation on behalf of their Member of Parliament, Fonotoe Pierre Lauofo.
Fonotoe easily won the Anoama’a West contest.
Autu Lolesio, a high chief of Luatuanu’u, spoke on behalf of the delegation to praise the H.R.P.P. Present was Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi and senior party members.
Autu said their visit was to acknowledge the hard work of the party and to congratulate Prime Minister Tuilaepa for a job well done during the elections.
On behalf of the party, Alai’asa Sepulona Moananu thanked Autu and representatives of their constituency for honouring Fonotoe and the H.R.P.P. A smiling Fonotoe also acknowledged his constituency.
