Manu Samoa coach, Steve Jackson, is officially a Samoan matai.
He was bestowed the title of Vaeluagaomatagi by the village of Fogapoa, Safotulafai, today.
Vaeluaga Steve arrived in the country on Sunday to officially start Manu Samoa’s preparations for the Rugby World Cup in Japan later this year.
The ceremony was well attended by Samoa Rugby Union officials including the President, Namulauulu Sami Leota, Board member, Seumanu Douglas Ngau Chun and Manu Samoa Manager, Va’aelua Aloi Alesana, who all have roots in Safotulafai.
Fogapoa, in Faasaleleaga No. 2, is also the village of the famous Tuilagi brothers.
