Samoa Water Authority has no logic

Dear Editor,

Water is life as you once had said Mr. Editor, and indeed it is.

The people of Palisi (Palisians) had found true in meanings when being woken up at 3am Wednesday 10th January 2018 and had tried to flush toilet after discharging more water into the cistern and no clean water for the refilling; and no clean water to wash the hands, then the people’s hygienic and health safety is in question.

How then were Palisians gearing up to go to work on the day with unclean teeth, unwashed bodies, etc. etc.?

But when after a phone call to the department at about 3pm is answered with a lame excuse that the supplies had been cut off due to dirt and contaminants to water supplies and will be reconnected at around 5pm, who in his or her decent humane mind can comprehend no water for that long?

And what is the authority’s logic in taking down the water for that length of time, and at that time of day before people would be able to get ready to go to work?

For sure a humane consideration should be given for the water need of Palisians who as human as anyone else could have been would apparently, certainly, and definitely cannot tolerate a third world country treatment we are experiencing today 10th January 2018 from the Samoa Water Authority.

Be as human as you could be Samoa Water Authority and feel how we Palisians have felt. With my utmost disappointment!
