Aiono titleholders ready to serve

The chiefly title of Aiono has been conferred upon 42 members of the Aiono Su’a Mataia family at Maota Pouniu.
Held last Saturday, the ceremony was well attended by the village and family members; many of them had come from New Zealand, Australia and other countries for the occasion.
Among the new titleholders was Member of Parliament and Associate Minister, Tusa Misi Tupuola. Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, who also holds the Aiono title, was present as well as Fasito’o-uta’s Member of Parliament, Leaupepe Tole’afoa Fa’afisi.Here are some photos from the occasion.
