The Magic Circus of Samoa will tour Seychelles in February.

Tupa’i Bruno Loyale, the C.E.O and President of The Magic Circus of Samoa, said they are likely to open the circus in Port Victoria on the 18th of February.

Tupa’i said he was very excited to open his newest show in the Seychelles on this tour and then continue on to Mauritius and Reunion Island.

“I am sure that the people of the Seychelles will thoroughly enjoy this year’s amazing collection of great acts from around the world,” he said.

Tupa’i was in Seychelles only recently, accompanied by his son Urima Matavao to hold meetings with Minister Alain St.Ange, the island’s Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture to discuss the possibility of taking the show to Seychelles.

Nathalie Didon, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Seychelles Tourism Board, who was also present at this meeting between Minister St.Ange and Mr Loyale of the Circus of Samoa, is the coordinating officer for this event.

Seychelles moved to be seen as a tourism destination where culture is positioned as the base of its marketing.

“When we speak of culture we are in fact placing our people at the very centre of our tourism industry and this is because we have no culture if we do not have our people. Today this new drive by Seychelles has, and continues to bring visibility for our islands, and it ensures we remain relevant as a tourism destination,” said Minister Alain St.Ange.

The last visit by the “Circus of SAMOA” was the first time a circus had come to Seychelles and the number of people who queued to see the performance was a clear indication that Seychelles had welcomed that initiative by the Government of Seychelles.

“We are looking forward to welcoming the second tour of our islands by the “Circus of SAMOA” and we are looking at special shows for the schools and for the elderly. This we already discussed in the meeting with Mr Bruno Loyale and his son when they were in Seychelles.”
