The Samoa Rugby Union touch team took home the grand prize for the Business House Touch competition which concluded earlier this week.

After eight weeks of the Business House tournament, finals were held between  the remaining six teams battling for Bowl, Plate and Cup final prizes.

According to the Samoa Touch Association President Michael Wulf, the tournament was a success given the aim and motivation of the tournament.

“The main initiative from the Samoa Touch Association is to promote team work within and outside of the office as well as promoting healthy living within Ministries and Businesses. We have witnessed this through all the teams participated.

“The tournament is also part of the initiative from the Samoa Touch Association of keeping the sport active at all times, as well as getting players active before the festive season.”

The Samoa Rugby Union team booked their semifinal spot after defeating the National University of Samoa’s touch team during their quarter final clash 7-3 at fulltime.

Then the  S.R.U. touch team overcame the might of the National Health Service touch team during a tough semifinal battle.

The Plate final saw National Rugby League team sweeping through the game with a convincing 7-1 score against the Ministry of Public Enterprise and Central Bank of Samoa team.
