Suspended Police Commissioner Fuiavailili Egon Keil is a free man.

It follows the decision made in the Court today to withdraw all the charges against him for insufficient evidence.

A Prosecutor hired by the Office of the Attorney General from New Zealand, Paul Dacre QC informed the Court about the decision.

Fuiava was charged with one count each of wrongful arrest of a man at Fugalei market last year during an armed police raid, perjury, disorderly conduct, and providing false statement to the Ombudsman in a commission of inquiry which investigated a complaint on how the police had carried out the raid in a public place.

More details soon.
