Honeymooners all smiles in sunny Samoa

A young couple from Australia have many reasons to smile.

The biggest one of them all is that they have recently sealed their love in holy matrimony.

And they chose the pearl of the Pacific, Samoa, to celebrate their honeymoon.

Matt and Teegan MacDonald have been here for two weeks and they are not ready to leave Samoa.

“We heard about Samoa through one of our friend’s brother who is half Samoan,” Matt said.

“He came here to surf and upon their return they told us that it is such a beautiful place to visit.

“It was such perfect timing because it was our honeymoon and so we took their advice and decided to take up Samoa as our honeymoon destination.

“We have been here for two weeks already but sadly we got five more days before we go back home.

“So far it’s been amazing and it’s such a beautiful place.

“We had a taste of some Samoan food like the oka, poke and palusami. Those were delicious and we had lots of coconuts.”

“It is the best honeymoon so far and we think that we made a good decision by choosing Samoa as our honeymoon destination,” Mr MacDonald said.

He said they had so far learned a few Samoan words.

“So far we learned a few words in Samoa and also how easy everything is here and how beautiful everyone is, and they are very friendly.

“When we go for rides everyone waves at us when we go pass and it was different from home.

“The life is slow and its funny how everyone takes a nap in the afternoon and that is something new we don’t get to see back home.

They said they had done some exploring and relaxing and have really enjoyed Samoa’s beauty.

“So when we go back we definitely recommend Samoa to some of our families and friends and we will definitely be coming back because this is just the place we need to relax.”
