Art on a Plate for kids

Members of the Samoa Culinary Association are planning an amazing day to celebrate World Chef’s Day and hosted at the beautiful Taumeasina Island Resort on October 20.

President of S.C.A., Joe Lam of Scalinis Restaurant, said the emphasis will be on health and the activities include exercise and the preparation of food that is both colourful, attractively presented and healthy.  

The focus will be on children between the ages of five and 15 and they will be divide into three groups during the day.

By working together with a range of people and organizations, the event promises to be a memorable one.

The theme is ‘Art on a Plate and others involved at this stage include Business Systems Limited with their Nobesity programme, local schools, Etu and Rachel who will conduct aerobics and yoga while Taumeasina staff will assist with the various activities.

The Samoa Tourism Authority will assist on the hospitality side and the Ministry of Health will conduct talks, forums and provide information of healthy living. 

The S.C.A. was formed in August 2015.
