There is corruption, there is poverty

Dear Editor,

I have been coming to Samoa for the past  eight  years or so, every year and I do see the changes.

I first came to Samoa  in 1977, the days when Aggie Grey came out to greet people. Sadly of course with a global chain running the hotel, that no longer happens.

I visited the place on Thursday and I felt sad.

Give me The Amanaki any day.

We also visited and stayed at the Taumeasina Resort and this beautiful place is excellent, spacious and in four days we have been here we only ventured out of the Resort once. We return to The Amanaki for 4 days on Tuesday. Which I am also looking forward to seeing Beverly and her staff, we have got to know them well.

I enjoy your paper and I look forward to commenting on those that believe your reporting is rubbish. There is poverty in Samoa, there is corruption and the churches need to stand back and stop demanding “Registration Fees.”    Well done and always good reporting.

Kind regards.
