Manu fans have their say

Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for. This afternoon, Manu Samoa Team will go out to battle Georgia at the Apia Park Stadium. Coach Namulauulu Alama Ieremia has named a relatively young team for the assignment. How do you see the game and where do you think the match will be won and lost? We asked in today’s Street Talk and this is what people said:

Seuseu Esera, Safune.

The Manu Samoa will definitely win the game. I like the new selection and I’m happy that Alama selected some of our local players in the team. This can be a good start for them in their rugby careers. Georgia is a big team, but I am confident that we will win the game. We need to run the ball play our own game.

Iosefa Li’aga, Taumeasina.

Of course the Manu Samoa will win. The new coach and the new management have done a great job with selecting the team for the game and I’m happy with the selection. I’m a proud fan of Manu Samoa, no matter what result, I will always be a fan of Manu Samoa. We need to get our set pieces right and we need to be able to match them upfront.

Pili Mamea, Faletagaloa.

We’ve got a new team now and I’m pretty sure that they are also bringing in a new game plan on the field. I am really looking forward to it and I am sure that our boys will nail it. I mean the Georgia Team is a strong team. The last time we played against Georgia, we did not win. But it’s going to be a different story this time. Good luck to both teams, especially the Manu Samoa.

Lamese Taule’ale’ausumai, Faletagaloa.

I am actually nervous the game. I mean the Georgia team did not come all the way here to lose.

We don’t know what they will bring on the field and what kind of game plan they have now. But I have a lot of faith in our boys. I believe that they will do well and we are all praying for them. I wish the boys all the best and I want to let them know that the nation will be cheering for them. It’s about time we should lift up our country’s reputation in terms of rugby. Go the Manu!

Tapito Vaueli, Saipipi

I’m excited for the game. We’ve all been waiting for this game for some time now. Im excited to see new faces and I’m keen to see how well they will play. I love the selection and it was actually the right thing to do to bring in the new players to prepare them for next world cup. I know Manu Samoa will win tomorrow.

Pelenato Fa’alafi, Falelauniu.

It’s going to be a tough game. I’m sure Georgia is bringing their best team to play against our boys and we’ve got a new team ready to go into battle with Georgia. So it’s really hard to tell who will win the game. I know Georgia is a big and strong team. But I’m sure that our boys are ready to defeat them this time. We didn’t win against Georgia the last time we played against them, but we are all praying to God guide and protect our boys during the game. Win or lose, I will always be a Manu Samoa fan. I’m excited and I can’t wait to see what will happen. I know there’s a lot of pressure on the boys, especially playing in front of the whole country, but I know they will win the game and make us all happy and proud. Good luck to both teams.
