Defendants to appear in court

Police have said that there are two suspects being charged over an incident that occurred at Salelologa on the 24th March this year.
Police Media Officer, Maotaoalii Kaioneta Kitiona, confirmed that one of the accused is a male of 32 years of age. He has been charged together with a prisoner who is serving time at Tafaigata Prison.
The prisoner had been released on weekend parole when the incident occurred.
The incident left the victim’s vehicle on fire after the pair had allegedly stoned the car and assaulted the victim.
The two accused will appear before the Supreme Court on the 18th April for mention.
